Eligible Refund Scenarios
Refunds may be granted in the following circumstances:
Event Cancellation
- Full refund if event is cancelled by the organizer
- Refund processed within 5-10 business days
- Includes all fees and charges
- Automatic processing for verified cancellations
Event Postponement
- Full refund if you cannot attend the new date
- Must request refund within 14 days of postponement notice
- Alternative: Transfer tickets to new date at no cost
- Refund excludes convenience fees if transferred
Venue Change
- Refund available if new venue significantly affects experience
- Must be requested within 7 days of venue change notice
- Subject to organizer approval and venue change policy
- Partial refund may apply based on price difference
Technical Issues
- Duplicate purchases due to system errors
- Payment processing errors resulting in overcharges
- Ticket delivery failures due to platform issues
- Account security breaches leading to unauthorized purchases
Medical Emergencies
- Serious illness or injury preventing attendance
- Requires medical documentation from licensed physician
- Must be submitted within 48 hours of event
- Subject to verification and organizer discretion
Force Majeure Events
- Natural disasters affecting event or travel
- Government restrictions or travel bans
- Public health emergencies (pandemics, epidemics)
- Civil unrest or security concerns in event area
Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will NOT be granted in the following circumstances:
- Change of Mind: Personal decision not to attend after purchase
- Schedule Conflicts: Personal scheduling conflicts or work commitments
- Travel Issues: Flight cancellations, transportation problems, or accommodation issues
- Weather Conditions: Outdoor events proceeding despite weather (unless officially cancelled)
- Artist/Performer Changes: Changes to lineup or performers (unless headliner cancellation)
- Personal Emergencies: Family emergencies, work obligations, or personal circumstances
- Ticket Resale: Inability to resell tickets through third-party platforms
- Event Quality: Dissatisfaction with event quality, content, or experience
- Age Restrictions: Failure to meet age requirements disclosed at time of purchase
- Lost/Stolen Tickets: Physical or digital tickets that are lost, stolen, or damaged
- Late Arrival: Missing event due to late arrival or traffic delays
- Prohibited Items: Denial of entry due to prohibited items or behavior

- Standard Events: 24 hours before event start
- Multi-day Events: 48 hours before first day
- Festival/Conference: 72 hours before start
- VIP/Premium Tickets: 7 days before event
- Group Bookings (10+): 14 days before event

- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- Bank Transfers: 3-7 business days
- Mobile Money: 1-3 business days
- Digital Wallets: 2-5 business days

Organizer-Specific Refund Policies
Event organizers may set additional refund terms that are more restrictive or generous than our standard policy. These organizer-specific policies will be clearly displayed:
- On the event listing page before purchase
- During the checkout process
- In your order confirmation email
- In your account purchase history
Priority Order:
When conflicts arise, organizer policies take precedence over our standard policy, except where Nigerian consumer protection laws provide greater protection to consumers.
Partial Refunds and Credits
In certain circumstances, partial refunds or account credits may be offered:

Limitation of Liability and Legal Disclaimers
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
1. Governing Law: This Refund Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from refund requests shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
2. Maximum Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NIGERIAN LAW, MYTICKETSELLER'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY REFUND-RELATED CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE TICKETS IN QUESTION.
3. Consequential Damages: WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, TRAVEL EXPENSES, ACCOMMODATION COSTS, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS.
4. Third-Party Liability: We are not responsible for refund policies, decisions, or delays caused by event organizers, payment processors, banks, or other third parties. Our liability is limited to our role as a ticketing platform.
5. Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for refund delays or denials caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, technical failures, or banking system disruptions.
6. Indemnification: By requesting a refund, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyTicketSeller from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from false or fraudulent refund requests.
7. No Class Actions: You agree that any refund-related disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not through class action, collective, or representative proceedings.
8. Limitation Period: Any legal action related to refund disputes must be commenced within one (1) year of the refund denial or the event date, whichever is earlier.
9. Consumer Rights: Nothing in this policy shall limit your statutory rights under Nigerian consumer protection laws where such limitation would be unlawful.
10. Severability: If any provision of this policy is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Changes to This Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or industry standards. When we make material changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Registered users will be notified via email at least 30 days before changes take effect
- A prominent notice will be displayed on our website
- Existing bookings will remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase
